Indianapolis – April 6, 2026 – Comlux America has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty cabin, in collaboration with DOA21, a subsidiary of the Comlux Group and a Design Organization Approval (DOA) holder.

This allows DOA21 to certify the design modifications of Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty aircraft cabins in compliance with FAA regulations, ensuring that all modifications meet rigorous safety and airworthiness standards.

With dual certification now secured from both European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Comlux America is positioned to make ACJ TwoTwenty cabin available to clients throughout North America as well. Customers may now acquire the ACJ TwoTwenty cabin from Comlux America and register the aircraft under the FAA’s N-Number Registry in accordance with U.S. aviation requirements.

This latest certification further reinforces Comlux America’s experience within the FAA approval framework, following its previous certification of the very first Boeing BBJ MAX 8 cabin under FAA oversight.

Adam White, CEO Comlux America: “The entire philosophy of the Airbus ACJ TwoTwenty program has been to anticipate the customer’s needs and offer a product ready to meet their expectations. While no ACJ TwoTwenty to date is on the N register, today marks the biggest step forward in ensuring when this comes, it will be a timely, straightforward process.”

Peter Gaughan, CEO DOA21: “As CEO of DOA21, I am immensely proud of the team’s tenacity in obtaining this crucial approval from the FAA. This marks yet another significant milestone for the DOA and the whole Comlux team and another first for the ACJ TwoTwenty type.”

The award of another STC from the FAA represents an important extension of Comlux America’s certification capabilities, enabling the company to offer approved modification solutions to a broader customer base. By bringing the design under FAA approval, Comlux America is now able to support future ACJ TwoTwenty aircraft registered under U.S. jurisdiction, streamline project execution for North American clients, and further strengthen the global applicability of its certified cabin portfolio.

Comlux America extends its appreciation to the Federal Aviation Administration for its constructive collaboration throughout the certification process associated with this cabin approval.
